Teaching the tasteless everywhere

Review of Macbook Pro

apple macbook proSo, I’ve been a windows PC guy for almost my entire life. I did use a macintosh briefly at school and my first job, but my home PC has always been windows based. About 2 years ago I got an apple macbook pro from work to use at home. Slowly all of my home PC use switched from the windows desktop that i own to the macbook i received from work.

First of all lets talk about the operating system (apple osx). It took me all of 2 days to get accustomed to it. Everything i wanted to do worked logically within my first or second try. Also the operating system is just beautiful to look at compared to Windows XP (I refuse to switch to vista, so i can’t rightfully compare it to that.) As for the software, it’s great. The computer came pre-loaded with pretty much anything i wanted to do. (Well i had to install Adobe CS3 and iWork… and an ftp program…. and firefox…. and…. well you get the point.)

The best thing though? Now i can look like a hipster at starbucks w/ my sexy platinum colored macbook pro (you know… the expensive one.) Lets be honest, when it comes down to it, isn’t that what it’s all about? The image that you portray to your fellow man. The image that says, i’m better than you because I don’t go with the flow. Now I too can lift my nose at all of you lowbrow windows users (represented by the fat dorky guy in the commercials). I’m cool based on what I own! Damn…. that’s just the crux of consumerism right there isn’t it? That my belongings can represent who i am. Now i can be cool like those hip kids that work at the apple store. You know they have hair they spent hours styling to look like they just woke up. You know… all those guys who would drop apple like a plague if it ever surpassed windows market share. Then they can all move to linux… after all geeky is the new cool.

LOL! So true. I too wish that one day I can be a hipster with my mac powerbook AIR, iPhone and Prius, while donning an anti-global warming t-shirt. Throw me some pinkbery and I’m good to go.
