Teaching the tasteless everywhere

drill drill drill

There is a fallacy being spread by the Republican party.  That is the idea that we can somehow drill ourselves out of high gas prices.  Drill drill drill is the mantra being spread from the right.  Know this.  It is absolute bullshit, and if you believe that somehow drilling offshore will stop you from spending 3.70 for a gallon of gas you’re a fucking idiot.  The left says drilling won’t bring price drops anytime soon.  The right initially said 10 years, then 6, then 4.  Suddenly, if you drill now gas prices plummet.  The truth is we opened the gulf of Mexico to drilling roughly 2 years ago, and we’ve seen what happened to prices.  That’s right all of our drilling had zero effect on the actual price of oil. The truth is offshore drilling will do absolutely nothing to the price of oil.  Any impact it did have wouldn’t be felt for at least a decade, and i will go on record right now saying it won’t make a fucking difference.

Obama said he would consider offshore drilling as a compromise to pass real alternative energy legislation.  The right called it flip flopping.  I actually have to hand it to the Republican party.  Everytime i think they’re just insane in their scare tactics the American people prove me wrong w/ their incredible level of stupidity.  Guess what.  You people are FUCKING stupid.  You need to stop watching so much fucking tv and read a book.  I don’t give a fuck if the new season of Lost is coming, or if there are too many big words that you have to sound out.  You need to exercise your brain.  Call me elitist, but since when did caring about intelligence become a bad thing?

You know what the truth is?  We need to stop using so much oil.  I’m not just talking about gasoline either.  All those plastics, rubber, glass, hell even our agricultural system is built around oil.  What do you think all of our soil nitrates and insecticides are made from?  Exactly, you didn’t think about it.
