State of the Union: The Democratic Primary

West Virginia has come and gone in the seemingly never ending battle between Clinton and Obama. There’s a point i’d like to make right off the bat. Why does everyone from the average American to the press call Senator Clinton Hilary? On the other hand everyone calls Senator Obama…. Obama and Senator McCain, McCain. Nobody finds this the least bit disrespectful? I’m not even a Clinton supporter and I think it’s kind of rude.

Anyway, that’s all beside the point. What happened in West Virginia? Clinton SLAUGHTERED Obama. I wonder why…. couldn’t have anything to do with the backwards, redneck, uneducated, hick population of West Virginia could it? I’m sorry that’s a politically incorrect way to say it. I mean ‘hard working’, ‘blue collar’, ’salt of the earth’, Americans. Hey the margin would have been as bad in Pennsylvania if it wasn’t for Philly. Here’s a few of them talking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-q4MDQ0cDI&feature=related

Lets all be honest though. How many of you out there even care about it? I don’t. I just want the democrats to make sure they pick someone by the end of the convention at the very least. Hell i don’t think most Americans even understand the political system. I’ve been asked who i’m going to vote for in november Obama or Hilary. There’s the real problem. The overall ignorance of the American voter. Another problem is every presidential election you hear about how the kids are going to be a big factor. You heard that with Kerry and you heard it with Gore. Well guess what? The kids didn’t fucking vote. They never do. They don’t give a fuck, and they’re fucking lazy. There’s only one reliable way to get the youth to vote every single election. It’s not having that lame ass self important MTV telling them to ‘rock the vote’, it’s not getting movie stars to tell them to vote. Here’s the secret. You institute a draft. If every spoiled kid in America was forced to serve in the military you can bet your ass they’ll care a lot more about politics and not just care about how they can buy their next pair of overpriced jeans and ipod.
